Oops, I Did It Again!
Have you ever done something and thought, "Oh shoot! I did it again!" I said I wasn't going to, but I did. Has that ever happened to you? Well, its happened to me again and again, and every time, I truly think that it would be the last time because I know better and I can do it- or at least I should, right?
The reason why one cannot do it is because what your actions portray is the state of your heart! Plants only show what has been buried in the soil (the seed). Once this was revealed to me, it absolutely made sense, and I realized that, instead of trying to do all “The good things,” why not focus on having the heart fixed? Whatever we plant, whether it's negativity, self-doubt, or self-sabotage, or positivity, hope, and love, will inevitably sprout. It all depends on the condition of our hearts.
I had an aha moment when I realized that rather than constantly striving to do "the right things," it makes more sense to focus on fixing our hearts. Instead of battling with willpower and making resolutions, I shifted my focus to nurturing a heart aligned with my intentions. The result? Remarkable changes in my actions. With that in mind, I understand that even when I make mistakes, it's just God saying, "Hey, give it to me! Your tests, they go here, your pain and your hurt, over here!"
We often find ourselves stuck in repetitive patterns of behavior, and despite our best intentions, we keep making the same mistakes. It's frustrating and disheartening, but the key to breaking this cycle is not just about willpower or resolutions; it's about addressing the condition of our hearts.
So, how do we break this repetitive cycle of "Oops, I did it again!"? It starts with a simple yet powerful act - surrender. It's acknowledging that we can't do it all alone and that our hearts need healing. It's about handing over the pain, the tests, the hurt to God, saying, "Heyyyyy, I need some divine intervention here!" It's recognizing that you can't do it all on your own and that your heart needs healing. It's about allowing the pain, the tests, and the hurt to be placed in the capable hands of God.
But here's the beautiful part: surrender isn't giving up or resigning to your mistakes. It's a profound admission of our humanity, recognizing that we can't always control our actions, but we can transform our hearts. Our hearts hold the potential for change, and that's where lasting transformation begins.
So, the next time you catch yourself exclaiming, "Oops, I did it again!" take a moment to ponder your heart's condition. Embrace the imperfections, embrace the growth opportunities that repeated mistakes offer, and remember that real change starts from within.
In the end, it's not just about what you do but who you become. And this is me saying, choose your heart's posture over habit, and you'll see amazing things! It's okay to make mistakes; what's most important is asking for help from the One that can help.
Love Always,
Princess💕
